Camera Inversion

Camera Inversion converts an animated tracked camera into inverted keyframed motion on a target object, letting the camera stay fixed while the object or point cloud carries the apparent movement.

Workflow steps

  1. Select an animated camera.
  2. Select the target object, often a point cloud or reconstructed object.
  3. Run Invert Motion.
  4. Review the generated location and rotation keyframes on the target.
  5. Use masks when the workflow starts from an object-focused track.

Important details

This can help object tracking style workflows where the final setup is easier if the camera is stationary.

The tool reads animated camera transforms, converts them to inverted object transforms, removes camera animation, resets the camera to the first frame, and applies linear keyframes to the target.
