Why point clouds matter for camera tracking
A camera solve tells Blender how the camera moved. A point cloud shows what the solver understood about the scene. That visual reference makes it much easier to place CG, judge scale, align floors, and identify bad reconstruction regions.
Quick Tracking can output sparse points quickly. Heavy Tracking can produce sparse reconstruction and, with dense settings enabled, a much richer colorized point cloud for layout.
- Sparse point clouds for fast spatial feedback.
- Dense colorized point clouds for stronger scene reference.
- Cleanup tools for removing outliers and clutter.
